Translation, localisation and transcreation
To translate content correctly, knowledge and understanding of the subject is essential. I study the subject matter, your activities, your tone-of-voice. When in doubt, I consult with you.
The purpose and users of the content determine whether the text should ‘simply’ be translated, or requires a degree of localisation:
- is the text informative?
- would you like me to adapt texts to the local market (localisation)?
- or do I rewrite the texts, adapting the content to local culture (transcreation)?
The types of texts I translate include:
Press articles
Blogs and whitepapers
Technical, loss-adjusting and surveying reports
Website content
Brochures and advertisements, including PPC ads
I am a sworn translator for the languages Dutch and English. In addition, I am an experienced copywriter and communication specialist. This combination secures translations that work every time.
